- Make ready 1/2 kg of Fish.

- You need of Biryani Gravy Ingrdients.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Oil.
- You need 4-5 of Onions.
- Make ready 4 of Tomatoes.
- You need 2 tbsp of Garlic paste.
- Make ready 1 cup of Yogurt.
- You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- Take 1 tsp of Cumin powde.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Corainder powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
- You need to taste of Salt.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Garam masala powder.
- It’s half of Lemon.
- Take 1 tsp of Kewra water.
- It’s of Corainder leaves 2 tbsp.
- You need 2 tbsp of Milk.
- It’s of Food colour.
- Prepare of For Biryani Rice.
- Take 3 cups of Rice.
- Make ready of Oil1tsp.
- You need to taste of Salt.
- Take of Whole spices.
Fish Biryani #KokabandCookpad instructions
- First fry the marinated fish for just 3 minutes on each side..
- Heat a pan and add oil in it then fry sliced onion until golden..
- Remove half of them from the pan and set aside, leave other half in the pan..
- Add chopped tomatoes and stir fry on medium heat until well softened..
- Add garlic paste and cook for a few minutes..
- Then add whisked yogurt and stir together,cook on low heat until the yogurt is well blended in to the mixture and some oil starts coming out from the sides..
- Now add all spices and fish and 1/4 cup water..
- Cook in the masala about 10 -15 minutes on low heat..
- Lastly,squeeze the lemon juice..
- Prepare the Rice..
- Bring a big pot of water to boil add salt,cardamom,cinnamon stick, cloves, Bay leaf, star anise and oil..
- Add soaked rice to this water, when it is boiling..
- Cook until the rice is about 3/4 done,remove and strain out all the water..
- Put half the rice back in to the pot,add the fish masala,then cover with the the rest of the rice..
- Drizzle 2 tbsp oil, yellow colour with milk, corainder leaves and brown onion on the rice..
- Cover the pot and put on steam for 10-15 minutes..
- Serve hot..
