- Wash rice, soak it for 2 hours. In a vessel, boil toor daal till half done..
- In a big pan, add water, 2 tbsp oil, all spices, salt and soaked rice. Cook till 70% done. Drain excess water..
- In another pan, add remaining oil, curry leaves, onion and cook until soft. Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Add cooked daal, mint leaves, corinader leaves. Mix well. Cook for 5 minutes. Keep aside..
