Ingredients of Punjabi Dal Tadka
- Make ready 1/2 cup of Toor dal (arhar).
- You need 1/4 cup of Chana dal.
- You need 1/4 cup of Masoor dal.
- Make ready 1 pcs of Onion chopped.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of Ginger chopped.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of Garlic chopped.
- You need 2 tbsp of Tomato chopped.
- Take 2 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
- Prepare 2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Take as required of Water.
- Take as needed of Cooking oil.
- Make ready as per taste of Salt.
Punjabi Dal Tadka step by step
- Firstly Boil all the three pulses/dal by adding pinch of salt and turmeric powder.Cook it in pressure cooker for at least 15 mins with 3 whistles..
- Then in another pan add oil, saute green chillies,ginger-garlic chopped for 2 mints.Then add chopped tomato and onion cook them until it all softens.Then add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and salt and cook them properly until oil leaves from all sides..
- Now add this takda mixture in dal and stir them properly..
- Lastly give tadka to the dal,in a oil,add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a while,chopped garlic and red chilli cut into 3 small piece from one whole and add this tadka as well into the dal..
- The "Tadke wali DAL" is ready to serve hot..
