Ingredients of Bombay Chicken Biryani
- You need 1 kg of chicken.
- Make ready 1 kg of basmati rice.
- Make ready 3 of medium onion.
- Make ready 4 of diced tomato.
- Make ready 4 pcs of quartered potato.
- You need 4 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- It’s 1 cup of cooking oil.
- It’s 1 cup of yogurt.
- Take 2 tbsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of salt.
- It’s 1 tbsp of garam masala.
- Take 5 pcs of dried plum with pits.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of zeera.
- Prepare 3 pcs of green cardamom.
- You need 3 pcs of cinnamon sticks.
- Make ready 3 pcs of cloves.
- Make ready 2 pcs of bay leaves.
Bombay Chicken Biryani instructions
- Fry onions till golden brown. Add tomatoes and fry till oil separates.
- Add meat,ginger garlic paste,yogurt, potatoes and all the other ingredients except rice. Stir fry for 10 minutes. Add 2 cups water. Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender. Stir fry until oil separates from gravy.
- Separately : add 3 litres of boiling water and salt to the soaked rice. Boil until rice is 3/4 done. Remove the water..
- Put half of the rice in pot and pour meat curry. Now put the remaining rice on top. Cover the pot and cook for 5 to 10 minutes untill rice is fully cooked.
- Mix before serving.
